Guilin has no cinnamon tress
and no forest,
Only see high mountains
and deep waters.
A gloomy prison
truely terrible,
White heavens
black black night
dark and dreary.

ReplyDeletethat sounds gloomy indead! When I looked the town up in Wikipedia, it presented itself much nicer - and they said that a lot of "The painted Veil" after the W. Somerset Maugham novel was filmed there (I have it on DVD). So what about the "fragant Osmanthus" ?
the "fragrant Osmanthus" I'm sure exists somewhere, maybe in some other poem.if you find it please let me know. my sources are extended far enough so that there is plenty. thank you for comenting
